Origin
The character is a tall anthropomorphic wooden drum that mimics the "tung tung tung" beat traditionally used to wake people for sahur, the meal eaten before dawn during Ramadan. Bitrue research credits the meme with over 280 million TikTok views in early 2025 as it crossed from Indonesian social media into the global Italian brainrot canon. Like most brainrot characters it was tokenized repeatedly; the pump.fun token trading under the TripleT ticker became the canonical version, launched with the standard fair launch structure of a fixed billion supply and no team allocation. The ticker abbreviates the triple "Tung."
Market history
Per CoinGecko the token printed its all time low in mid March 2026 and ground upward as the character kept resurfacing. During the July 2026 animal and character rotation it went vertical, reaching an all time high price of about 0.027 dollars on July 23, 2026, an implied market capitalization of about 27 million dollars on its billion token supply. It was listed on MEXC and tracked by Coinbase and CoinGecko under the Tung Tung Tung Sahur name. As of mid August 2026 the market capitalization sits around 11 million dollars per CoinGecko, making it one of the better survivors of that leg.
Community story
Crypto Twitter taxonomies of mid 2026 filed TripleT as "established character": a coin whose mascot has a life entirely outside crypto and therefore refreshes its own attention supply. The community treats every new Tung Tung Tung Sahur video trend as unpaid marketing, and the coin outlived most of the 2025 brainrot cohort that preceded it.
