Origin

The coin's name riffed on jokes that Portnoy, posting as stoolpresidente, would end up in jail over meme coins. After publicly experimenting with several coins, Portnoy endorsed JAILSTOOL on February 9, 2025, to his millions of followers, driving the pump.fun launched token up by figures reported between 110,000 percent and over 2,000,000 percent in a day. Portnoy was transparent that the coin meant nothing, streaming its moves and openly discussing his own buying and selling.
