Birdeye is a Solana native crypto data aggregator founded in 2021 that provides token charts, wallet analytics, and the data infrastructure behind many trading apps.
Function
Birdeye is a crypto trading data aggregator that consolidates token prices, charts, trade history, holder data, wallet analytics, and DEX liquidity into one platform. It began as a Solana native research tool and expanded to cover Sui, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, and other networks. Beyond its consumer site, Birdeye Data Services (BDS) sells real time on chain data through APIs and websockets, and its own marketing lists customers including Phantom, Raydium, Coinbase, and Bybit, making Birdeye both a retail product and an infrastructure layer for the ecosystem.
Use in the trenches
Before the modern terminal era, Birdeye was one of the main places Solana traders checked a fresh token: its pages combined price, liquidity, holder distribution, and security flags at a time when DexScreener carried less Solana specific detail. Trenches users rely on it today mainly for wallet analysis, profit and loss lookups on other people's wallets, and as the data source silently powering the charts inside wallets and trading apps. Checking a caller's wallet on Birdeye is a common counterpart to a Solscan holder check or a Bubblemaps cluster view.
History
Birdeye was founded in April 2021 by Kha Nguyen, previously head of product at the Solana explorer Solscan, according to project profiles. It launched aggregating data from the roughly 20 AMMs of early Solana DeFi and scaled through the network's expansion in 2023 and 2024, when memecoin volume made comprehensive Solana data commercially valuable. Its BDS division became a significant data vendor during the terminal wars, and in August 2026 the company shipped a redesigned Wallet Analyzer centralizing trading performance, daily profit and loss, portfolio composition, and transaction history for any Solana wallet.
Status in 2026
Birdeye operates normally in 2026 as one of the leading Solana data platforms, with its consumer analytics site and its BDS API business both active. It has no widely traded token of its own.
