Terminal is pump.fun's multichain trading platform, built from the October 2025 acquisition of Padre and expanded with the February 2026 acquisition of Vyper.
Terminal is the professional trading interface of pump fun, created by acquiring and rebranding the multichain trading terminal Padre in late 2025 and absorbing the execution terminal Vyper in early 2026. It represents the platform's push beyond launching meme coins into owning the tools traders in the trenches use to trade them anywhere.
The Padre acquisition
pump.fun announced its purchase of Padre on October 24, 2025, its second acquisition after kolscan. The purchase price was not disclosed. Padre was subsequently rebranded as Terminal, continuing to offer high speed multichain trading with its functionality carried over.
The deal became immediately controversial because of the PADRE token. pump.fun had no use for the token, and its utility was discarded in the acquisition, sending its price down roughly 80 percent and prompting accusations from holders that the acquisition amounted to a rug pull. Facing backlash, pump.fun agreed to compensate holders: a snapshot was taken on October 24 and PADRE holders could submit Solana wallet addresses to claim an airdrop of PUMP by December 30, 2025. The episode was widely covered as a cautionary tale about holding the token of any product that might be acquired.
The Vyper acquisition
On February 5, 2026 pump.fun announced the acquisition of Vyper, a trading execution terminal, again without disclosed terms. Vyper's infrastructure was folded into Terminal and its standalone product phased out. The integration expanded Terminal's EVM chain support and improved execution for cross chain and high frequency trading. Cofounder Alon Cohen said the deal would accelerate pump.fun's cross chain infrastructure.
Role in pump.fun's strategy
Terminal completes a vertical stack: tokens launch on pump.fun's bonding curve, graduate to pumpswap, are discovered through Kolscan's trader leaderboards, and are traded through Terminal on Solana and other chains, with revenue from the stack feeding PUMP buybacks. Analysts read the acquisition spree of 2025 and 2026 as pump.fun spending its ICO treasury to become a full trading ecosystem rather than a single product launchpad, competing with standalone terminals like Axiom and Photon.
