Se Yong Park, known on X as seyong (@seyong), is a cofounder of the social trading app fomo and a former dYdX business development hire and product manager.

Se Yong Park, known on X simply as se under the handle @seyong, is a cofounder of fomo, the social crypto trading app that became one of the highest revenue trading products in the trenches during 2026. Alongside CEO Paul Erlanger he is one of the two publicly named founders, and he serves as the product's most visible voice on crypto Twitter, where his account had roughly 42,000 followers by mid 2026.

Background

According to interviews and profiles, Park was born in South Korea and moved to New Jersey at age four, growing up in a family of modest means. He was accepted early to Yale University, where he studied economics, and also attended the London School of Economics. He met his future cofounder Paul Erlanger during an internship at Deutsche Bank, then joined the bank's investment banking division after graduation, working on complex asset backed securities.

In 2022 Park left banking for the crypto derivatives exchange dYdX as its second business development hire, where he has said he helped grow the exchange's market maker roster from a handful of firms to roughly 150. He later moved into product and became a core product manager for trading, experience he has credited with shaping fomo's design.

fomo

Park cofounded fomo in 2025 with Erlanger; the app launched in public beta in May 2025 and raised a Benchmark led Series A that November followed by a 75 million dollar Series B led by Index Ventures in June 2026 at a 550 million dollar valuation. Park's stated thesis, laid out in his X article "Never miss out again, fomo," is that trading should feel as simple and social as a consumer app, without gas, bridges or seed phrases (see fomo).

To demonstrate the product, Park has said he traded on the app for hours every day and ran a public challenge turning 5,000 dollars into 250,000 dollars during fomo's first month, "just to show, okay, you can do it." He is a frequent podcast guest, appearing on Solana's Billions with Pedro Miranda in March 2026, The Rollup and The Archive, where he discusses social trading, onboarding normal users into meme coins, and fomo's fee based, no token model.

Public persona

On X, seyong posts product announcements, growth milestones and trading culture commentary in the informal register of crypto twitter, and community threads retelling his Korea to Yale to dYdX story circulate as founder lore. Unlike many trench figures he operates under his widely published real name, which appears in TechCrunch, The Block and fomo's own materials.
