The pump.fun mobile app is the official smartphone client of pump fun, released in February 2025 for iOS and Android. It compressed the platform's core loop, creating a token, watching the feed of new launches, and trading on the bonding curve, into a consumer app experience aimed at making the trenches accessible to users who never touch a desktop wallet.

Launch and features

At launch the app let users create tokens for free, buy and sell rapidly, build watchlists and manage portfolios. Onboarding was deliberately unlike typical crypto software: users sign up with an email address or Google account, and the app automatically creates a solana wallet using embedded wallet infrastructure from Privy, removing seed phrases from the first run experience. The release came in February 2025 amid a renewed meme coin frenzy and was covered as a bid to reach mainstream retail traders on the devices where they already live.

Version 2.0

In June 2025 pump.fun shipped version 2.0, rebuilt around speed. It added a Movers Feed highlighting the top gaining and losing tokens, real time market data and price alerts, and a "tap to ape" one click trade flow the company described as the fastest execution available in any mobile app. The update aligned the app with the platform's broader push into social and copy trading following the kolscan acquisition.

Distribution expansion

In December 2025 the app launched on the Solana Mobile dApp Store, offering token creation and trading with zero platform fees from Seeker and Saga phones, and added Apple Pay integration for funding purchases, further shortening the path from fiat to meme coin. The app sits alongside pump.fun's other interfaces: the website, the Terminal trading platform assembled from the Padre and Vyper acquisitions, and pump fun livestreaming.

Reception

The app was received as a significant onboarding milestone for meme coin trading, though critics noted that it also put a product resembling high speed gambling into app stores with minimal friction, an argument that echoes the broader controversies covered in pump fun lawsuits.
