OnlyMarms is a Solana meme coin from July 2026 attached to a real OnlyFans page that marmot researchers opened after losing grant funding, with creator fees routed to a 64 year old wildlife study.

OnlyMarms (OnlyMarms) is a meme coin on the Solana blockchain launched through pump.fun in July 2026. It is attached to OnlyMarms, a safe for work OnlyFans page that academic researchers created to fund one of the longest running wildlife studies in the world after a federal grant fell through.

Origin

The Marmot Adaptive Dynamics Lab, known as the M.A.D. Lab, has tracked yellow bellied marmots at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory near Crested Butte, Colorado continuously since 1962. After a National Science Foundation grant denial cut into the program, UCLA ecology professor Daniel Blumstein and University of Ottawa professor Julien Martin opened an OnlyFans account in June 2026 promising "uncensored marmot content," turning field photos of the rodents into a subscription joke that went viral. When the story spread, tokens appeared on pump.fun immediately; per reporting syndicated by Yahoo Finance, Martin created the OnlyMarms token himself so that the launchpad's creator fees would flow to the lab rather than to squatters.

Market history

The token graduated on pump.fun in late July 2026 and, per coverage on August 3, 2026, had already sent more than 14,000 dollars to the study, more than double the roughly 6,000 dollars the OnlyFans page had earned after platform cuts since June. The price peaked above 0.002 dollars in late July 2026, an implied market capitalization of about 2 million dollars. As of mid August 2026 the token trades at a market capitalization of about 650,000 dollars per DexScreener, with the community posting daily receipt updates as donations accumulate.

Community story

OnlyMarms became the feel good story of the mid 2026 trenches: a coin where the extraction mechanics of pump.fun creator fees were pointed, for once, at a marmot census that predates the internet. The community, organized in an X community rather than around a single account, tracks lab funding milestones the way other coins track exchange listings. Coverage from BeInCrypto and Cointribune framed it as memecoins accidentally outcompeting the creator economy at charity.

Current status

As of mid August 2026 the token still trades with modest volume and continues routing fees to the lab, and the researchers have publicly acknowledged the crypto donations while staying uninvolved in trading.
