Mubarak is a BNB Chain meme coin launched in March 2025 whose price surged past a 200 million dollar market capitalization after Binance founder Changpeng Zhao bought the token and adopted its imagery, anchoring the Arabic themed meme wave on BSC.

Mubarak is a meme coin on BNB Chain launched in mid March 2025. Its name means blessed in Arabic, and the token became the flagship of a short lived wave of Arabic and Middle East themed coins on BSC that traders called Mubarak season.

Origin

The token appeared around March 12 to 14, 2025, during a period when BNB Chain was aggressively courting meme coin activity through the four.meme launchpad and official ecosystem support. Commentators tied the theme to a two billion dollar investment into Binance from Abu Dhabi based MGX announced earlier that month, which put Gulf narratives at the center of BNB Chain attention. Dozens of copycat and companion tokens such as Mubarakah followed within days.

Market history

On March 15, 2025 Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, publicly bought 20,155 MUBARAK for one BNB, roughly 600 dollars, and the market capitalization jumped to about 140 million dollars. The token reached an all time high of about 0.21 dollars on March 18, putting its capitalization above 200 million dollars against a supply of one billion tokens. On March 19 CZ changed his X profile picture to an image resembling the token's artwork and the price rose roughly 28 percent further, while one early trader was reported to have realized about 521,000 dollars in profit. The frenzy helped BNB Chain briefly overtake Solana in daily decentralized exchange volume, and exchanges including BYDFi rushed out listings. Like most attention coins the token then retraced heavily as the narrative rotated onward.

Cultural impact

Mubarak sits alongside TST and Broccoli as one of the defining episodes of the early 2025 BNB Chain meme season, in which CZ's smallest gestures functioned as market signals the way Elon Musk posts once did for Dogecoin. The episode showed a deliberate platform strategy at work: BNB Chain used meme liquidity to pull volume from Solana, and traders in the trenches learned to monitor CZ's wallet and profile picture as tradeable feeds. The word Mubarak itself became shorthand for the Gulf flavored corner of that season.
