Maestro is one of the earliest multichain Telegram trading bots, operating since 2022, remembered for a 2023 router exploit that the team fully refunded.
Function
Maestro is a family of Telegram bots for trading tokens across multiple chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, and Solana. Its flagship trading bot supports buying and selling from chat, sniping new pairs, copy trading, wallet monitoring, and call channel integration, alongside companion bots for whale watching and token analytics. Reviews report that the standard plan has no monthly cost and that Maestro takes a 1 percent fee on successful trades, with a premium tier available.
Use in the trenches
Maestro predates the Solana trenches and was the archetype for the Telegram bot category: much of what later bots like BonkBot and Trojan offered on Solana was first popularized by Maestro on Ethereum during the 2022 and 2023 ERC20 memecoin seasons. As activity migrated to Solana, Maestro added Solana support and remained a general purpose multichain option, though Solana native bots and web terminals such as Photon and Axiom captured most of the flow there.
History
Maestro launched in July 2022 and grew into the largest Telegram trading bot of its era. In October 2023 its Router 2 contract on Ethereum was exploited: The Block reported roughly 280 ETH, about 485 thousand dollars at the time, was drained through a vulnerability involving missing permission and parameter checks on token approvals. The team identified the exploit within about 30 minutes and disabled the affected component. On October 25, 2023 Maestro announced it had refunded users 610 ETH, worth over a million dollars, across 106 affected addresses, with some refunds boosted 20 percent, a response confirmed in reporting by Cointelegraph and analyses by CertiK. The episode became a reference point in bot security discussions because full restitution was rare in the category.
Status in 2026
Maestro continues to operate its multichain bot suite in 2026. It is no longer the dominant venue for Solana memecoin trading but retains users across EVM chains and remains one of the longest running products in the Telegram bot category.
