Ansem is a crypto trader and influencer whose early Solana memecoin calls made him one of the most followed voices on crypto Twitter.
Ansem is the online persona of a United States based crypto trader and analyst who posts on X as @blknoiz06 to an audience reported at more than 750,000 followers. Profiles by Datawallet and others identify him by the name Zion Thomas. He rose to prominence as an early and vocal backer of Solana and its memecoin ecosystem, earning the informal title "The Solana Guy" during the 2023 to 2025 market run.
Trading career
Ansem's reputation rests on a series of early calls in the Solana memecoin era. According to Datawallet's profile, he backed Bonk and dogwifhat before either was widely known, with reported returns of roughly 80x on BONK and roughly 520x on WIF. His threads on market structure and altcoin rotation are treated as signal events in the trenches, where a single Ansem mention can move a small token's price. The local kolscan intelligence dataset from January 2026 rates him as the highest tier of Solana caller, noting his outsized influence on memecoin flows.
Public presence
Beyond trade calls, Ansem posts long form market analysis, boxing and sports commentary, and cultural takes. His influence produced a fan memecoin, ANSEM (The Black Bull), which he did not create; coverage by crypto.news and Phemex describes it as a tribute token trading on his name recognition, an example of the personality coin pattern common on pump.fun.
The Black Bull ($ANSEM)
In mid June 2026 an anonymous deployer launched The Black Bull, ticker ANSEM, on pump.fun, then sent 650 million tokens (about 65 percent of supply) and the platform's creator role to Ansem's wallet, per Brave New Coin. Rather than ignore or disavow the token, Ansem embraced it in what commentators described as a community takeover, or cto. On June 27, 2026 he posted that he would "airdrop portions of the creator fees," and on June 28 that he "had to give the trenches a stimmy since pump refuses to," committing to redistribute his pump.fun creator fees to holders as weekly airdrops instead of keeping them.
The results were dramatic. The token climbed 19,878 percent in seven days, per Yahoo Finance, and an initial wave between June 27 and 29 distributed roughly 7 million dollars worth of ANSEM to more than 700 wallets, helping push the holder count from about 25,000 toward a stated goal of 1 million; it passed 100,000 in early July. CoinGecko records an all time high of 0.4436 dollars on July 6, 2026. Coverage credited the episode with reviving pump.fun activity, with daily launches hitting an 80 day high, and it is frequently cited in the trenches as the model case of a KOL routing creator fees back to holders. Critics pointed to the roughly 60 percent of supply sitting in his wallet as an unresolved concentration risk.
Ansem.io and the @ansem handle
On August 17, 2026 Ansem opened Ansem.io, a token launch and curation platform built around The Black Bull. Announcing it, he wrote that "crypto doesn't need another vanilla token launchpad," per The Defiant, and pitched launching teams on access to more than 145,000 ANSEM holders as marketers. Coins created through the site are still pump.fun tokens, but each one reserves at least 3 percent of its supply for ANSEM holders, bought at launch price in the transaction that creates the coin, and teams can burn ANSEM for Gold and Diamond badges (25,000 and 100,000 ANSEM) and ranking on z500, the site's leaderboard, with top projects promoted through his channels. By 5:19 pm ET on launch day the site reported 19 coins launched, roughly 211,500 dollars airdropped to 26,700 wallets and 929,647 ANSEM burned, per The Defiant. Bankless framed the model as a reversal of typical KOL marketing, with projects delivering value to an influencer's holders instead of influencers dumping paid allocations on theirs.
On the evening of August 18, 2026 he posted that he had "officially acquired the @ansem handle, please follow :)", taking control of the X account matching the token's ticker one day after the platform launch.
Controversies
Ansem has attracted scrutiny on several occasions. Protos reported that during the 2024 campaign to place dogwifhat on the Las Vegas Sphere, which raised about 700,000 dollars from the public, Ansem admitted the organizers avoided telling the venue the campaign was attached to a cryptocurrency, quoting him saying that if they said what they were trying to do, the Sphere would know it was the coin. Critics characterized this as deceptive; supporters framed it as marketing pragmatism.
In July 2025 a viral rumor claimed he had been arrested in Miami after he stopped posting for about a week. Reporting by 99Bitcoins concluded the arrest story was fabricated, and Ansem returned to posting shortly afterward.
More generally, skeptics of KOL culture argue that accounts of his size cannot mention small tokens without moving them, making the line between commentary and promotion inherently blurry. These criticisms are directed at the influencer trading model broadly rather than tied to a specific documented accusation against him.
Cultural footprint
Ansem is one of the few trench era figures known across all of crypto Twitter. Memes about his market timing, his boxing takes, and the price impact of his tweets circulate constantly, and "Ansem posted it" remains shorthand for a memecoin receiving sudden attention. His arc from anonymous poster to market moving personality is frequently cited as the template for the modern Solana KOL.
